The Story of Maryam

The life stories of hardworking individuals who succeed despite growing up in a dysfunctional family have always been a source of inspiration, especially for those feeling hopeless and discouraged.

Maryam is an excellent example of such a person. She is a highly motivated and talented student at the Mashhad Branch. Four years ago, she was admitted to one of the prestigious public universities in Mashhad with rigorous efforts and dedication.

What makes Maryam’s story interesting is that she is a diligent student and has a passion for tailoring. She believes that tailoring can help her mother, the sole caretaker of Maryam and her two younger sisters, cope with financial problems.

However, Maryam’s lack of a sewing machine was one of the greatest obstacles to her dream. During the most recent meeting between our social worker and Maryam’s mother, she learned that Maryam required a sewing machine to improve her skills and included this information in her report.

As the mission of the Darolekram Institute is to support employment and empower mothers and students, Maryam was given an industrial sewing machine in consideration of her educational and motivational status. Maryam will take out a loan to pay for a portion of her sewing machine to alleviate poverty.

Now, Maryam and her mother are more determined to pursue their business of making fabric dolls, tents, and shirts. These conditions will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the family’s situation.
