Little Daniel Conquered His Fears

Daniel is an elementary school student and a member of the Keramat House in Birjand, having joined the Darolekram family in 2021. Recently, during a routine monthly evaluation of Daniel and his family’s financial situation, the social worker discovered that Daniel had been enduring tooth pain for some time. Unfortunately, his family was unable to afford dental treatment, and Daniel also faced a significant fear of dental procedures.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the social worker arranged for Daniel to visit a dentist, ensuring he would not face this challenge alone. Accompanied him to the dentist, the social worker engaged in conversation with Daniel to help him relax.

The dentist, Dr. Parisa Aminianfar, greeted Daniel with kindness and patience. Before beginning the treatment, she introduced him to the dental tools and explained their functions in a clear and simple manner.

During the two free sessions, Daniel received a root canal treatment and restoration for his permanent tooth. After the procedures, Dr. Aminianfar provided him with valuable recommendations for maintaining oral hygiene.

This experience not only relieved Daniel of his dental issues but also marked a significant milestone in his journey to overcoming his fears. The unwavering support and companionship of the Darolekram social worker were vital in creating this positive experience for him.

In addition to its primary mission of providing scholarships and educational support, Darolekram actively engages in various areas, including livelihood, health and treatment, counselling and psychology, as well as job readiness and entrepreneurship, all aimed at supporting students.
